Material
Ceramic Coating is primarily composed of Silica Dioxide (SiO2), which is derived from quartz, sand or ceramic. The material may also include titanium dioxide (TiO2) to enhance its protective properties. It also contains some solvents that are used to keep the SiO2 and TiO2 in a liquid form, allowing for easy application. Even distribution of ceramic particles across the surface during application can be done with the help of carrier fluids. When applied, these materials create a chemical bond with the vehicle's paint forming a semi-permanent layer that enhances the protection & durability. The high concentration of SiO2 is what gives ceramic coatings their characteristic hardness and glossy finish.
